02 crv new clutch stalls in neutral wont drive

i got a 2002 crv I just did a motor swap in I put a brand new clutch on a used flywheel......... When I started it up the clutch wouldn't disengage and lunged forward in first.......I tried jamming it from neutral to first with the clutch in and it made a horrible sound.... I diagnosed a bad master cylnder and replaced it....... Now the clutch does disengage but when I engage the clutch it stalls even in neutral in first the car will not move forward.... I can use the gas to keep the car from stalling but it only burns the clutch and doesn't not move forward any help would be great........... I have been searching for hours....wondering if it's stuck inbetween gears or if it could be busted cv joint......... It lunged forward so I know at one point it could move forward but ever since I tried to jam it in first now car wont move and stalls in neutral

Think I broke the transmission or are you being a smart ass because I'm looking for real help.... I found a transmission for 250 and started pulling the motor to inspect

no, the transmission. You tried forcing it into gear when it clearly didn't want to. that's the fastest way to break a gearbox. you NEVER try to force a transmission to go into gear. if it doesn't go in with a simple wrist flick then something is wrong. it sounds like you have two gears trying to engage at the same time. when the car is off can you shift gears?

i doubt trying to force it in once broke it, unless it was on teh verge of failure anyway. I would inspect your linkage at least first. does it shift through the gears with the engine off at least? or fell like it does?

Transmission had 370000km on it... It was bone dry on fluid for God knows how long... It was always hard to get into secound.....

The linkage is fine it feels like it shifts into every gear fine while running or not exept reverse won't go in

yeah if you ran it dry might as well replace it now then...

Yeah, that looks pretty normal. I would wipe off that purple grease stuff though. it'll end up flinging out onto the friction plate otherwise.

Okay so I put a new tranny in it and it drives forward now but I don't think the clutch is fully disengaged it burns with the clutch in and lunges a tiny bit on start up... It also won't come out of first and now I'm affraid to pull it out of 1st

Okay so I tried to stall the car in first gear and it immediately popped out of first and did not stall... But now it goes in to any gear but reverse and releasing the clutch does nothing at all

Okay I just noticed the speedo was climbing with the gas so I'm going to double check axels tomorrow but still wierd that I can't get it into reverse Any ideas?? That's two different transmissions nether will go into reverse

Re: 02 crv new clutch stalls in neutral wont drive

Axel was out put it in and it drives and I have reverse but clutch doesn't disengage.... I changed master and slave cylnder and while bleeding I watched a hole stroke of fluid release throu boot on the slave cylnder... The slave cylnder still moves is it broken now?
Any help would be great appreciated
