Fluctuating RPM problem
I have been having a weird issue with my RPM's lately. When I hold the car at a specific RPM in neutral the RPM will jump up and down about 500rpms. When I drive it and hold it at a specific RPM it will sort of stutter. I looked for vacuum leaks but couldnt find any, I'll check again. I've also noticed that with the car off but the key in 1 click the VAFC reads -26 vacuum. Is my map sensor bad? Anyone care to comment? On top of all of this, when at idle the car will sit fine around 700rpm and then occasionally drop down to the 500's and sound like its going to stall out.

Re: Fluctuating RPM problem (luti)
Mine does this quite often and it usually does it when the weather changes(cold to hot outside). I found that I usually have to change my timing for the change in ambient air temp. Also, I was looking for recalls for my civic once on the Honda website and they said that this was a common problem with these cars, but they haven't found how to correct it? Does the car have a turbo?

Re: Fluctuating RPM problem (luti)
I am running the GReddy 15g kit on my civic and sometimes when I notice the surges is when my boost gage is at zero. I am taking a wild guess here but I figure that the engine might have some troubles whenever there is no vaccum present and trying to sustain a certain RPM. But I can usually tune it out through my cam gear, and boost timing master.
