White smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold
Would anyone know what could have caused white smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold? It happens to my friend's car and he can see white smoke everytime he step on the gas, both from the exhaust manifold and off the muffler. This problem had directed to lack of oil in the cylinder head and caused excessive wear on the cams, rocket arms. Head Gasket was fine and it passed a leak down test as well.
Any idea ?

Re: White smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold (sp)
coming out off the exahaust manifold, I mean right where the header connects to the motor; the muffler was shooting out white smoke as well. We couldn't find oil leaking anywhere, the engine is very clean and we didn't see any oil mark.

Try telling that to cars that come into my shop sometimes. I've seen vehicles that come in with similar problems and we end up doing valve seals. And guess what the white smoke disappears! I'm was just suggestion valve seals because that's what I've experienced before.

Wow, only one bad answer choice, thats great. Showing some respect at least. Anyways, I think the head gasket is your problem.
