Wheel sizing technical question

My CR-Z has 4 of the same size tires (195/55-16) from the factory, and it also has the same bolt pattern as a Mk2 MR2 (5x114.3), letting me have the ability to use the staggered (17x7f 17x8r) Advan wheels that I already have. I don't see a clearance issue with running a 235/40-17 on the rear, and it won't affect the speedo, since its FWD. The fronts are going to be a 215/45-17, which is close enough to the stock height/rolling diameter to make a negligible difference.

My main issue is: if i run a considerably different size than stock tire (2" wider) on the rear than stock, will I run into any braking issues or any other foreseeable issues?

Hopefully what it would look like:

How they sat on my MR2
