NOx are oxides of nitrogen.
They typically come about from high combustion temperatures. What were her readings for this and the other categories? What car are we dealling with? |

91 v6 camry with 100k miles...im assuming it has alot of carbon build up

Could also be a bad EGR if that motor comes with one. Even timing can play a role in this problem.

it depends how bad she failed if not by mutch it would be a good idea to change the pcv valve and egr valve that should mak it pass i work on toyotas all day that should do it if not then she needs a new cat

Yes, carbon deposits can cause combustion temperature to increase. Try changing the egr and pcv valve as well as some kind of engine treatment to reduce the amount of carbon buildup. |
