Want to run a push button starter...need ot know best way.
Currently I have to run a wire from the starter solenoid to the positive battery terminal to start it while the key is in the 'on' position. A solution to me having to do this is to make the wire permanant with a switch inline inside the cabin.
Should I run a fuse inline between teh wire from teh battery to the switch? If so, what kind/amperge? Are any relays or anything needed?
TIA!

Yes, fuse it. I don't know off the top of my head what an average starter draws.
What you should consider is this: remove the key cylinder from the steering wheel. Break it down (don't break it though!) and unscrew the plastic cap off the end of the key switch. You will see where the wires run into the switch. It should be fairly easy to see which wires are which, and if it isn't just use a test light to tell. Run your wires from here and notch the plastic shell you pulled off to accomodate the extra wires.

This is in a Jeep, that I'm not spending much money on to keep up. So cheapest solution possible is the way I'm going.
