Vibration under acceleration after new axle install
So here's the deal:
I have a B18C1, Y1 tranny, and as far as I know the Y1 intermediate shaft in my 91 Civic HB. Yesterday I put some NEW 91 Integra axles in the car. It drives great, except for a vibration that occurs at around 3,000rpms while accelerating. The vibration feels like it's coming through the front wheels. It also vibrates under acceleration at low rpms (1k-2k) but not as bad.
What could be the problem? The new axles were two DIFFERENT pieces. The axles I took out were BOTH identical to the new passenger side axle. The new driver's side axle is a bit longer.
Someone please tell me what's going on here.
TIA,
Aaron

Re: Vibration under acceleration after new axle install (91CivicSi)
i had a similar problem when i dropped a b16a into my 89 si hatch. my problem was the axel was to long. i had a 91 integra axel on my passenger and ended up having to use a 89 integra axel for the drivers side. a way to see if the axel is to long is to jack up the front of the car, and turn your wheels from side to side and see if the strut goes up and down. the tire should also lift. if it does then your axel is to long and you should be able to go with the 89 integra axel also. i have the y1 tranny and intermediate axel. hope this helps.
