vafc issue

I've got a 93 EDM B16A2 in a 92 VX, being run by a P30. I/H/cat/E, and it doesn't throw CELs. Ok, here is the issue I hooked up my VAFC a couple weeks ago, and everyting is fine. I am running it flat till I can get to the dyno to maybe squeeze a few out of it. It is set for 6 in/6 out, 4 cylinder but nothing else, When I am driving around town I can take it to 7800rpms no problem, vtec is fine as indicated on the unit. HOWEVER, when I am on the autobahn, and I hit 5500rpm, and 100mph in 5th gear, my CEL comes on, and the vtec won't engage. Even if I stop at say a light, and then go, the vtec is still not engaging. The VTM wire is not connected. And it ONLY does this in 5th gear at 100mph when vtec hits. When I shut the car off and restart it, everything is back to normal. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a similar problem. All my connections are perfect. But when i hit vtec in 4th or 5th past 80 or so, I get a CEL for code 22. No dents in my oil pan or what not. Anyone know anything..

I can't even pull the CEL, because it turns off when I restart the car.

The CEL may turn off..but its still stored in your ECU. Check it cause its still there.
