Type R Clutch vs. Aftermarket Clutches
Is the Integra Type R clutch different from other b-series clutches?
If so, how does it compare with some of the aftermarket ones?
Trying to decide on a new clutch and just checking out all my options.
The clutch would be for a hatch w/ LS
Thanks

OEM ITR clutch is nothing special.
The clutch you need depends on what type of tranny you have cable or hydro.(?)

if ur planning to replace your clutch, u might as well go for an aftermarket 1, cause the price to get a new itr clutch from the dealer, you can get a much better clutch from ex: act, clutch masters and etc.

Are you sure? The ITR clutch is pretty cheap. It is the cheapest of all the B-series clutches and a hell of a lot cheaper than any decent aftermarket performance clutch. When we do a clutch at our shop on any b-series car, we usually use the ITR. Slightly better performance for a better price.... Oh, and they will fit the cable 90-93 Integras as well. You just have to use the proper throw out bearing.

a ITR clutch is nothing special it might have alittle more clamping force...but is it worth to put it in, then couple weeks later blow it out and have to re buy a clutch. I would go with clutchmasters or exedy
