Troubleshooting: Front impact sensors on 2009 Civic shows codes..solutions?
Civic section seems dead so I thought I’d get some
good input here.
Just picked up a 2009 Civic LX-S automatic with 149,000 miles for a commuter yesterday. No cel or srs lights on the dash and both turn on and off at start up.
I scanned all modules with my blue driver obd scanner and got no signal from front left and front right impact sensors. 41-11 and 41-12 I think? As well as the weight sensor on drivers side front seat is also giving me a code but the srs light is off.
I looked under the front bumper and saw both impact sensors mounted and plugged in. Airbag recall was done at the Honda dealer. Car was totaled on way to first dealer before it was ever first sold, very minor repair, I can see the repair and believe it was totaled because it was a new car not because it was a bad accident, have the Carfax showing total loss before dealer took delivery.
any ideas on getting the front impact sensors to work? Wiring looks good and they are plugged in tightly. I was reading and searching that they can fail, can i just unplug and bolt in a new one after having the battery disconnected for 30-60 minutes? Can’t clear the code because until i get signal from impact sensors.
thanks!
