Troubleshooting: Cold Start / Cranking issue: Turbo B16 Engine
 

Cold start cranks for ever and slowly catches and dies two to three times before ot stays running. You can hear it misfiring but within a few seconds it runs fine besides when i hit around 6k rpm it back fires and wont accel past 6k 6500. This is a turbo b16 . once it isstarted once that day it will start fine all day. It is tuned on chrome. Im starting to point towards ect sensors. The one wire sensor is unplugged and has aftermarket gauge connected to it. Any suggestions. Sorry if i posted in the wrong page. Any help is appreciated.

I belive if the one wire ect sensor is not hooked up it will not allow vtec? Could this be part of the issue

What fuel are you using? What injectors? Who created the tune? Was it on a dyno or is this a basemap tune? Do you have a wideband AFR gauge? What spark plugs?

i woild love to give more info but i picked up the car with littlw knowledge. Car is on a cosummate tunning ecu. Injectors i have no idea stock fuel rail. Runs 9lbs has new ngk plugs bkr6e . changed thw two wire ect and one wire ect. Car ran good before but at 6k it would back fire ect not move up in rpms. Now it runs qorst does this around 5k? Any insight
