Trottle body's????
I have a skunk2 manifold, w/ a 92 LS trottle body at the time being. I have extra coolant hoses that are open so I just stuck a tube and plugged it with a bolt at the end of the tube.
If I was to use the trottle body as pictured below http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...EzZGZkMzF5NTQx How would I go about plugging up all the necessary holes up? There are 1 from the upper radiator holes that supposed to go to one of the inlet of the tb. If im correct? 1 that is by the fan switch/header hose from the fire wall and the last one is on the skunk2 manifold itself that has a 1/4" outlet and a smaller one together on hose stick? any help will do. thanks [BEDITED[/B] - Also, w/out the cold start unit on the bottom of the trottle body (cause the cold start portion is on the LS intake manifold itself) would the car idle bad when cold? Which trottle body would have a colt start unit attached to the trottle body? The unit I am talking about are these ones below w/ the 2 hose ends for coolant to pass. Are these trottle body gsr's?? Can anybody tell? https://store1.yimg.com/I/twincamtech_1887_5948870 Modified by slixxracing at 11:49 AM 3/18/2006 Modified by slixxracing at 11:50 AM 3/18/2006 Modified by slixxracing at 11:51 AM 3/18/2006 |

Re: Trottle body's???? (slixxracing)
eliminate any unnecessary hoses.. i dont run coolant through my TB at all. i basically found where the coolant like starts on the mani or whatever and just looped it back to the side where it supposed to drain back into the motor.. i did it for iacv and the TB. i bypassed my iacv also and the FITV on the Tb.

By doing that, wouldn't it affect the cold starting idle?

i didnt mine like that, i wouldnt know how it messes with idling, i think i have a vaccum leak https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

because the bottom portion of the trottle body (if it came with it) controls the cold start idling problems. w/out it when cold, shouldnt your idle be as if you had wild cams in?
