tranny problems on the way home last night....
so, i stop at the library to drop off some books and then i leave and as i am shifting into third i notice a grind.
i thought i was being lazy with the clutch, but then into 4th same thing. WTH https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif the tranny was fine a second ago and now its acting like poop. i just did the tranny fluid a month ago with honda mtl and it has been smooth as hell. it even feels notchy as hell when i'm at a standstill rowing the gears. i'm speechless. 71k on the tranny (gsr) no synchro issues, original clutch. any suggestions would be nice... -andrew |

Did you make sure the car was on level ground when filling it back up? I had a 5th gear grind because it was still on jack stands when I filled it back up.

yes, it was in the garage, but i dont think it has anything to do with the fluid level. it has been flawless for the last month and then to have it go to hell is odd.
its almost like the clutch doesnt engage all the way. |

Sounds like a clutch problem, not a tranny problem. You may need to replace it.
