Are stock h22 cams just as good as others when it comes to having a turbo?

Default Are stock h22 cams just as good as others when it comes to having a turbo?

I bought some pistons and h22 rods from someone and he sent me the wrong type of pistons. I can tell he doesn’t want to refund the money because used pistons cost over 200 and he’s been saying he’s out of town. Before hand he told me he has Crower cams. Would it be worth returning the pistons for the cams? Or for 200$? I’m planning to have the h22 with a gtx3582 turbo. So I’m not sure if cams would make much a difference since I’m only shooting for maybe 500hp. They are Crower Stage 2 cams on my Supertech springs and retainers FYI. Thanks for any insight

If they're Stage 2 NA cams I would pass and just get my money back. Standard H22 cams are good enough for 600hp+ and have a fair bit of overlap as it is. Adding more aggressive NA cams with more overlap will just cause issues and be less than ideal. You want high lift, short duration cams for a high horsepower turbo application.
