Hmm.. Well, it sounds to me that you're doing a direct sohc to dohc conversion on your stock D16Y8. Umm, you better put your hip boots on cuz someone is waist high in shit talking. As for a b series swap.. A B16A (99-00 Si) would put you about 30hp higher at the crank. The B18's (A, B, C5) are the shit. You could be pushing anywhere from 160 to 180hp range..

Well said http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

That's a pretty broad statement, but if he's talking about a motor swap, then yes, as for putting dohc on a sohc block, unless it's a ZC -- not going to happen.

http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif have a beer http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/embeer.gif well said...im getting my swap also (b16b)...cant go wrong with a b series motor...i think u should just get a jdm gsr...my cousin has that and i got spanked in 1st gear when i raced him...to get my point across..... if u want high end, get a jdm gsr...if u want ur car quick at the start, get a b16a2...the gsr kinda lags but will spank u in high end...good luck http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/embeer.gif

GSR engine will ALWAYS spank B16 (considering them in the same type of car)! More torque = more pull off the line. Even my B18B1 pulls harder than B16 off the line.

Wiring a B18C1 into a civic is a bit difficult though.
