It looks like your mixtures are right on, that car is not running rich. An air filter will not cause a fuel injected engine to run rich.

DCFIVER, do you have a copy or access to that Excel Lambda Calculator from iATN, the PC that I have a copy of it is down right now, did you already use it in this case Sir?
An iATN brother. |

Incorrect. A dirty or restricted air filter will cause the CO2 levels to rise, and willl also affect fuel trim. Ive fixed many a CO2 level with a simple clean air filter. His 14.5% C0 also indicates less than lambda. His HC's are also slightly elevated.

Measured values at:
15 Meas 1.01 Lambda (lean) 25 Meas 1.007 Lambda (lean) 15 MAX .996 Lambda (rich) 25 MAX .994 Lambda (rich) 15 AVE 1.013 Lamdba (lean) 25 AVE 1.008 Lambda (lean) I went online to the calculator, I dont understand it, but here it is. |

Can you please explain how? His CO is very low which would indicate it is not lean. Of course, it has a catalytic converter so those readings are masked and we don't know what year/model it is. I think you meant 14.5% CO2, not CO? I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you on the CO2 but would like to know what would be the cause of that.
Duane i see you already found what you were looking for correct?? |
