Ran Out Of Gas - Car Wont Restart
On my way home from work, my low fuel light came on and I kept driving home about 10 miles. When I went to crank my car this morning, it tried to turn over but won't crank. I went and bought a couple of gallons of gas, primed the pump, then tried to crank. It tried to turn over but couldn't. I tried several more times to crank letting, letting the fuel pump kick in a couple of times before attempting to crank, but no luck. On my last effort to crank, rather than really trying to turn over, it kind of just clicked, so "maybe" the battery is low now - not sure. Anyway, I am parked on about a 15 degree angled slope and I don't have a way to roll to a safe flat spot. Maybe I just need more gas, but would appreciate some helpful suggestions how to resolve the problem from here. For the snipers out there, yes, i know its stupid to drive a car with low fuel, but s**t happens.

Make sure the battery is charged, and put more gas in the tank.
That's probably all that's needed.

fuel helps cool the fuel pump so running low on fuel runs the risk of burning out the fuel pump if it's old enough, you need to actually check for fuel, it's possible the fuel pump gave out

holmesnmanny, I am concerned about the fuel pump possibly failing. I knew how to change it on my old 1999 civic, but have no clue if it's the same setup on my 2012 accord. when i turn the key, i can hear something that sounds like the pump.
