Quick How-to: P72 OBD-1 Apexi VAFC & Fields Wiring Harness
I was bored at 2:00 in the morning, so I decided to start putting some things together for my car that is soon to be out of storage.
Purpose:
One of the many things I needed to do was wire up the Apex'i V-AFC to my Fields wiring harness and hook up optional quick-disconnect wires for a knock sensor light and VTEC light.
Reason for using the Fields Wiring Harness:
The goal in mind was that the entire Fields wiring harness and attached Apex'i V-AFC would be removable completely, quickly, and leave no evidence of its presence otherwise. This way, I can remove it when the car is in storage (to avoid damage to the V-AFC in cold weather), while I'm in the mall, or if and when I choose to sell the car.
1994 to 1995 Acura Integra GS-R's with P72 OBD-1 ECU wire harness are classified in the H2 category. This scheme is consistent b/w Apex'i and Fields, so it avoids any conflicts or confusion.
Note: However, there is an inconsistency with the Apex'i V-AFC wiring update, where the P72 OBD-1 ECU wiring is designated as WH-1.

Schematically, here's how the V-AFC is supposed to make its (11) connections:

Start by looking at the Field's H2 wiring harness like this:
Above: There are (3) ECU connectors that plug into the ECU, labeled: A, B, and D. For this procedure, we'll only be using A and D. The middle plug (B) is not touched.
Here's how the V-AFC wires connect to the wires on the Field's wiring harness:
Ignore this purple/blue wire on the bottom of the Fields harness. It's for the speedometer and the V-AFC doesn't have that function.
Pull back the terminal insulators and cut all the butt-connector terminals off of the Field's wiring harness and the Apex'i V-AFC.
Remove the terminal insulators.
Strip 1/2" of shielding off all the ends to expose the wire using the 18AWG stripper for the Fields harness wires and the 20-22AWG stripper for the Apex'i VAFC wires.
So what, I'm a little off.
Hawt Tip: When you start connecting and twisting the wires together, arrange the Apex'i VAFC wiring harness and connections so that it lies on the ECU plug side. This way, the VAFC harness can route upwards easier behind the kick panel.
Twist the wires together and solder. Use heat shrink tubing or high quality 3M/Scotch electrical tape (the thin/soft/fireproof kind - $4 a roll) to insulate the open joints. Sorry, no pics. It was 4:00AM by this time and I just wanted to get it done.
Here are the finished results:

$135 (shipped) if you buy the VAFC for $300 (shipped) from him as well. Otherwise it's $150 (shipped).
