PROBLEM STARTING

Every mourning i leave for work my car doesn't seem to wanna start.
when i go to start the car all i hear is a clicking sound like as if my starter kicks out the i guess shaft but doesn't crank. i have to turn the key on & off about 6 times till it starts & then it will start fine all day.
Could this be a bad starter problem or could it be something else.
I have a faulty alarm in my car that i plan to replace this weekend.
i was thinking maybe since its bad, maybe the starter kill relay may have something to do with it.
Or could it just be the battery ?
Usually its about 65 degrees out side when it happens.

what do u think may be wrong ?? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

Try this...if possible. When you go to start the car in the morning, have someone tap the starter solenoid (which is the usually golden cylinder on top of the starter) with a hammer or the plastic end of a big screw driver. If is starts when its tapped, the starter needs to be replaced. If still nothing, it may be a neutral safety switch.

Re: PROBLEM STARTING (tekracer)

I was going to replace the starter. I called the auto parts store to see how much they are & they said $283 for a new one, not a re-manufactured one. My wife tells me that when i bought my car & i purchased a 2 year warranty that i should look to see if the starter is covered. So i did. And sure enough it was https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif .

So i took it to where i bought it from & they replaced it with a new one & all i had to pay was a $50 deductable https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif .

So it was the starter & now its fixed.
