Problem replacing the input shaft bearing

I did a search and found a good write up,but I'm stuck. I cant figure out how to get those gears out. I did a search a while back and can find the post anymore it actually showed which bolts to remove to I can get the gears out.

Anyone know which bolts to remove?

A) Where is your Helms?

B) If you have the tranny casing split, have you taken out the shift interlock guide bolt (less obvious)? What about the reverse shift mechanism and gear (obvious)?

The interlock guide bolt. It's an allen bolt on the clutch side of the housing. The shift arm attaching bolt needs to be removed also. Then lift the whole assembly out together. (shafts, gears and forks)

^^^what these guys said. I'm assuming it's D-Series.

Remove the interlock guide bolt and the shift arm attaching bolt. This will allow the interlock to rotate freely on the shift arm, and allow the gearset with shift forks to be lifted out as one package.

I'm sitting here looking at my helms, it doesnt have an exploded view of everything; only the gears. Unless some how missing a page. I am looking up 14-62 is the page I'm going by and I dont see a 'shift arm attaching bolt'

I got the gears out, I just needed to pop it with the rubber malet a few times.

Now is the actual ISB. The good news is when I turn it, its sounds horrible. So that is atleast one of the problems.

Another problem is my shift fork looks like it has a knot taken out of it. must have happened along time ago the way the cast is stained. how big of a problem is that? do I need to post a picture?

Last question how do I remove that input shaft bearing?
