Piston Expansion
 

Does anybody know which aftermarket piston expand the least/slowest. Driving on a cold motor is what killed my last motor. This is for a boosted motor BTW.

don't tell me to warm it up either, im too lazy to do that every single time.

The srp pistons have about the lowest expansion of the forged ones.If you have the skirts friction coated and the top coated with heat barrier.Then you would have what your looking for.Swain tech in NY does an excellent job.I did this on a two stroke motorcycle that I ice raced and it worked excellent.

i coulda sworn srp's are the worst for expansion....maybe it was je?

Ross and arias need about the most clearance.Then the je and wiseco are about the same.Srp need the least.

not to jack ur thread or anything...but how soon would pr3 pistons take to expand if it ran lean...ive been running my ls/vtec for over a month now and it was running a little lean(whitish/brownish plugs)....a buddy told me it would have happened by now....is this true??

Wiseco has the least expansion 3 thou would be fine for average street turbo car. Je , cp , arias , ross are all about 4 thou .

the 9.1 CP pistons ask for .035, the 10.1 CP's ask for .030. I have the 9.1 CP's and they never make noise at start up. And if you blew your motor cuz you are lazy, well then thats tough shit.

did I ask you for some consolation for blowing my motor? no, I just asked which pistons expand the least, so keeps the comments to urself you fuckin queer. I know how to take care of my motor, I choose not to. So really it isn't tough shit, I probably have couple days of my life back that your ****** ass doesn't.
