need somebody who has access to Honda Interactive network access
Hello guys, I need help from those who has access to Honda Interactive Network. I need to get the vin number to find out if this block im going to purchase is stolen 
. Appearently the vin number is gone so the only thing i have left is 7 serial number. The serial number is 5025404. Can somebody please help me out!

having only the serial # to the engine does no good through the interactive network. Did this motor ever have a vin plate affixed you can always tell. What is the sellers story of the engine?

CHP told me they have the ability to process the VIN from the serial number but you have to bring the block down to the office so they can take it from you if it is indeed stolen. They won't do it over the phone.

If the VIN that was riveted onto the motor has been removed, do NOT buy the motor. It is illegal in most states to tamper with a VIN, and the motor will only cause you problems.

true. Hey if the guy says the motor is legit he would have no prob meeting you at CHP to do the deal. Bet he won't though.

I believe its a federal violation to mess with the VIN, which would make it illegal in ALL states.
