Need Help Going Crazy....clutch/tranny problem. kinda long.
99 si bone stock.
ok, so heres my problem. when the car is at idle, you can hear a noise doesnt really sound like metal to metal. when i push down on the clutch pedal the noise goes away. when the clutch pedal is back up it makes the noise agian.
Ive had this problem in the past and it was easly fixed by a new clutch kit. (pressure plate, disk, TOB, Pilot bearing) and it went away. drove it for a year, and i got tired of my ls-v set up so i went stock(b16) didnt change the pilot or TOB. used the same pressure plate and disk. started the car had the same noise as i did before.
i did some research and got the impression that it was my TOB so i changed that twice and it made no difference. so i said what the heck ill get a new clutch kit. so i went out a bought one. put it on and now i couldnt go into gears.... so i pulled the tranny off took the clutch off and put it on again. (now this whole time im using a 11lb flywheel i forgot to mention) i assemble it back together, now it goes into gears but i have the same noise. so i have a couple friend come take a look at it do some test or w.e (they work at diff machanic shops.) and there telling me its my pressure plate. so i get a new pressure plate a new flywheel (OEM) and tried that and i still have the same problem. it doesnt make sense to me what it can be, can somebody help me out here
cliffs: tranny/clutch makes noise, tried diff ways to fix it still makes same noise.
thanks in advance
