NEED ASAP 98 Civic EX ECU Northeast PA
 

Hey guys, thanks for taking a look into my post. My friend is currently having a NJ state inspection/emission problem with his 98 Civic EX Automatic. He is failing his emission because his Cat and O2 sensor are coming up NOT READY in the readiness tests. Before failingn a month he has never disconnected his battery to clear any codes or drive cycles that allowed him to pass last years inspec/emiss. At first I thought ok he needs a Cat and O2 sensor but then I saw he had no check engine light and no codes(i scanned it). Im assuming if the cat and O2 are bad you would at least have a CEL for the O2 sensor but no dice.

Then I did some poking around on google and read that a guy had the same NOT READY problem and swapped out his ECU and bamm his readiness was back to READY again. So Im looking for anyone in the area that has an ECU that will work for his 98 Civic EX Auto for troubleshooting and possible purchase. Id like to at least be able to take a known working ECU and round that possibility out of the mix. Any other help or information on the situation would be greatly appreciated.
