msd ignition question ??
 
Bear with me Im new to this.. A friend of mine wants to sell me his MSD 6al and accel coil .. he had 2 on his TRans AM .. will this work in my honda 92 hatch with a b16 ???

Yes..itll work,they're universal for 4,6 or 8 cylinder

Yes it will work. I believe that running the 6al with an external coil also eliminates the need for the factory igniter(I just replaced mine cost $122 at the dealer).

No it doesnt elimatinate the igniter..only the internal coil inside the dist

coils out of an 8 cylander do 4 a piece so i gues it would work but why dont you get a blaster 3 for like 30 bucks

You need an MSD Pro-Cap with external coil wire. Remove your internal coil then run your MSD Box wires into your distributor, there is are two wires from the MSD box that needs to connect to the positive and negative leads from your existing internal coil. Next, run the other two wires from your box to your external coil. I'm not near my car so I can't look to see which color wires go where, but your instructions will tell you or you can just look off your friend's car.

thanks for the info . Ill pick it up then , it seemed to be a good deal ($40) just had make sure it was right for my ride ...
