injector sizing

I currently have a 12-1 fmu and want to boost a decent amount but was wondering what the limits of the fmu(# of boost still safe) are and if i should use rc 310 - 440injectors in conjunction with it, Yes i know i should just get stand alone w/ big ass injectors but $$ is key now

Re: injector sizing (B18egHatch)

Look up RC engineering on the web. Email them about your vehicle with all the mods and they will tell you what you need for injectors.

FMUs are tighter than standalone IMO, only because you can make crucial power with them, but i wouldnt run one past say 500+ HP...

anyways, you should get 440s, and you can hit 450whp at 22lbs, depending on your turbo...

a few of my friends have stock GSR bottoms, only springs/retainers on top, 12:1 FMU and 20-23 lbs and 450 whp

Injector size is highly dependant on the fuel pressure you will be running. The time to upgrade injectors is when you have trouble sending the correct volume of fuel at the fuel pressure you want/have to run. Hondata has some initial information so does RC Engineering on their website. Expected Horsepower and fuel pressure are the most desirable variables to use for determining injector size. A PSI to injector size relationship is only accurate if your run the same or similar style fuel management system.
