I searched and found numerous topics on this. However, here's the deal: Today was raining so I decided to make a vtec light for my sohc vtec. It was very easy to do, but it doesn't work. I have a mini-me swap done and am using a p2p OBD2 v.1 ecu. I have the ground lead from the led wired to a ground, and then the other led lead to the green w/yellow stripe wire that goes into my ecu. (the farthest gray plug or "the big gray plug".) Now when I turn my keys to the accessories position, the led lights up nice and bright until I start it up. Then the led turns off and never comes on even during vtec engagement. I KNOW I WIRED EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. One more thing was that my Check engine light is constantly on while I drive. Could that be why the vtec light never comes on?I'm not trying to ask how to wire a vtec light becuase there are 10000000058943579872984 results to browse in the search, but I would just like to know why mine won't turn on when I hit vtec. I know vtec works too because I can hear it (not my intake either). So, any thoughts?Thanks in advance as I've been scratchin my head raw. j/k

The wire for the vtec that goes into your computer changes colors, its orange not green and yellow, not sure if you did your wiring or what not so it might not be, but normally it is.

really? well, then ooops. How would I go about connecting the green/yellow wire back together than after I take the splice clip off?Here's where I got my directions from:

Now that I think about it, it might be orange on obd0 cars. So now I'm not sure, just try to find an ecu layout and you will know exactly which one it is.
