i got a b16 head that i am putting together and have some questions about the dowel pins...
i was missing the one in the middle on top part of head as well as the o-ring. the two dowels on the side are there though...since i was missing the dowel and o-ring in the middle, are there supposed to be o-rings on the side oil pin dowels under the two end cam caps? this is all i need to know and if anyone could answer this, thanks.

no, just the middle one uses the o-ring.
edit: wait a minute, r u talking about the rocker shaft orifices? if so, then those need o-rings.

the two dowels under the caps on the #1/timing belt side...those are the ones that i need to know if both need o-rings or not. there are none on there. i have a manual that says that there are supposed to be one or two (can't remember) but i got a printout of the cylinder head assembly from acura parts and it shows the middle o-ring and the dowel that i had to order but i didn't order two more because they weren't shown on the assmbly diagram that was printed for me. so i just need to know about those. i have the lost motion assemblys and everything else though. thanks.

the dowel pins dont use o-rings but the rocker shaft orifices (also under the #1 cam caps) do. sounds like u are talking about the dowels though so your good without the o-rings. sorry for the confusion.

Dowel pins are solid, SHUFFLE pins are hollow, so a bolt can go through them.
