How to set VTEC controller APEXI V-AFC
 
I have a GSR engine on my 92 hatch
so far I have are
dc header
aem cai
skunk2 manifold
R throttle body
cat back
civic R intake cam
FPR
skunk2 valves springs and retainers
intake R valves

NEED HELP

I assume you're expecting someone to pull out a calculator and give you an rpm reading to set it at?

The only way to do it accurately, is on a dyno. Set it high (8k rpm) and do a run ***don't rev your motor too high though, you will be limited to your low cam!!!***; then do a run after setting the controller low (~3k rpm), this will limit you to your high cams at a lower point than normal.

Do an overlay of the two outputs of the runs, the point where you see the high cam and low cam's power outputs cross is almost perfectly dialed in assuming you haven't screwed up the fuel mapping before the runs...keep that set at 0 across the board until you figure out where to set the vtec points.

Remember to set the downshift vtec point to a few hundred rpms below the upshift point, you don't want to have it leaving vtec prematurely if you back off and then punch it again around the point you have it set at. And if all possible leave the tuning to an experienced tuner and hopefully they have wideband o2 to set your fuel settings...hope that helps!
