Just because it's JDM doesn't mean it's all powerful. http://rely.net/~htimages/smile/emdgust.gif

well the jdm b20b's have as much hp as the US b20 z's last time i checked. plus, it all about the torque

Are there anymore B20 series motors? I know one of the JDM B20's has higher compression and better flowing intake manifold. The numbers I were shows was for a USDM rated at 126hp and JDM B20 rated @ 142 hp.

P.S. that was from crvtec.com's website, which doesn't seem to be up any longer.

99-00 USDM B20 (B20Z 9.6:1 CR) pretty much equal to JDM B20B = 146 hp

97-98 USDM B20 (B20B 8.8:1 CR) = 126hp

USDM b20z=JDM b20b

carpoint.com says for USDM b20z:
HP 146 @ 6200 RPM
Torque 133 @ 4500 RPM

i found a 94 ls with a 98 jdm b20b ALL STOCK motor. just lowered with progress springs and tokico shocks. would you think this is a good enuf daily driver for school and back?

edit- ran a car fax.. clean title. no accidents. no damage at all.
but this guy is the 3rd ownder and he told me that. hes selling his car for 8600 with his volk te37s and 8000 without. the motor has approx 19k miles on it. tell me what you guys think. the car looks pretty clean too.

Re: how much hp is a 98 jdm b20b? (cnguyen32)

All of the B20s have 133 ft-lbs of torque....the lower hp ones make peak torque sooner I believe though.

$8000 sounds a little high if you ask me..it is a 94 and 3rd owner. If you can beat the price down a grand or 2 that'd be alright...
