How to install Autometer gauge - voltage meter?
Shell: 93 Civic Cx
Motor: 98 GSR / OBD1 p72 ECU Just purchased 3 gauges for the Hybrid (oil press / water temp / voltage). Wondering how to install the voltage meter once it arrives Picked up this one (ATM-4791): https://static.summitracing.com/glob...atm-4791_m.jpg Thanks for any useful info https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif |

One wire to ground, another to a switched positive circuit.

tap the clock harness for power, easiest clip to get to

Personally, I would run that gauge straight to the battery's positive post.
I would prefer an accurate voltage level at the battery, and it is proven that you lose a bit of voltage going through the car's electrical system. |

or i believe there us a switch 12v source on the fuse block.

2 Questions, does an ammeter install the same way? And how did you wire up the gauge lighting?
|
No; the ammeter basically sits between a large high-current power cable.
And the lighting wires are wired the exact same as the other gauges; on a switched 12V line. |
