Try going to sears and buy a socket thats is for stripped bolts. If not that try vise grips.

What bolts are stripped?

Theres a few ways of doing it... Knowing your limeted tool acces the only way I can see you getting stripped bolts out is with vice grips... Vice grips work ok but are pretty hard to get into a tight spot with and if the bolt is torqued down will be pretty hard to break it loose with... Always replace stripped bolts once they are removed...

Thats a vague question. It depends if your talking about the bolts head or the bolts threads. There are many ways to remove them (easy-out, vice grips, drill through the head...). The best way will depend on what type of access you have to it and what part of the bolt is stripped.

How about this...

What if it is the head of the LCA bolt, the one that bolts the shock to the LCA. And what if you only have 12 point sockets, a drill, vise grips....

Is the bolt head rounded off? If it is then i'd try a big pair of vice grips. If that fails the right size easy-out will get it for sure. Put al litte PB blaster or liquid wrench on it while your at it (penetrating oil).

The rounded nut remover set from sears works really well. If not, a BF pipe wrench can do the job pretty well.

Sometimes if its metric the nearest standard equivalent size is slightly smaller, you can try hammering that size wrench on the bolt. Its worked for me a few times, even when my tranny drain plug was stripped.

Rear LCA? I'd say good friggin' luck, order some new LCA's and new bolts, finish the project on a later date. Those LCA bolts are often a BITCH to get out, even without the head being stripped.

Not to be pessimistic or anything.

are you putting on new strutts? And did you strip the head, or is the bolt broken, i've broken them, but never stripped one. A pair of vice grips should get a hold of a stripped head. Otherwise, personaly, i go out, buy a grade 8 or so bolt, and nut, saw zaw off the nut on the other side, and the bolt at the same time. Take a punch knock out the bolt, then insert new one. If you are putting on new strutts, jsut get a bolt that fits into it, and hack out your bolt.

call me lazy but if i know a bolt is trashed and vice grips don't work for it.. i'll either drill it out or a weld a piece of scrap metal on the end of it (providing theres room) and use it as like a wrench https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
