Help with Wheel Alignment

Ok, I lowered my car with eibach sportlines, it was like a 1.8inch drop. Also I got 17s on with factory shocks. I called a shop today and ask about doing a wheel alignment for my lowered car and the guy said that he can do a "toe-in"? Also, he said basically what he's doing is guessing b/c he can't get the factory specs. What should I do??

Most Hondas only allow for adjustment of toe. You can adjust camber with other methods not outlined in the service manual. You need to have at least your toe corrected or you will be eating tires. You can buy camber correction kits if you want. There is no guessing- toe is still set to factory specs and camber will be more negative then factory. If the guy you spoke to actually does the alignments and used this terminology he is an idiot and I would not take it to him.

Go somewhere with an up to date aligment rack with a tech that does alignments specifically. Some tire places (NTB) seem to do ok and they usually have a good warranty on the aligment. Basically you will be setting the toe front and rear and I would shim out the rear camber some to make it close to factory spec. Depending on which car you have, the rear can be adjusted with shims or washers. The 01 civic does not allow for this though. The front camber can be played with a little by messing with the front strut bolts.

Yea, I have a 2001 Civic EX Coupe. Since the rear can't be adjusted, should I buy a rear camber kit? or both??

You should be ok with 1.8 inch drop. You may get some premature inner shoulder wear on the rear but it won't be too bad. If you find that it wears too quickly you can always buy a camber kit.
