gears grind sometimes... help
 

well, the other day i was at E-town racing at the honda meet. anyway, I ran the 1/4 mile and twards the end of it, i switched to 4th gear cause i was very close to redline. anyway, I kinda grinded into 4th and thought nothing of it. on my way home i noticed now everytime im in third gear at high rpms and switch to 4th, it grinds... it doesnt grind at low rpm switching. anyone know what this could be? is it something serious or can i keep driving?

i know what u mean..mine is the same way except mine grinds going in to 3rd..i heard that is a weak spot for hondas..dont know about 3rd to 4th tho..both of our problem are prolly due to the syncros..lates

my old hatch used to grind into 2nd and 3rd. most likely syncros

syncro's and it's only going to get worse.

any idea of how much it would cost to fix this? i read some other posts about flushing it and putting in new fluid, would this help ?

Try changing your tranny fluid with 2 bottles of honda tans fluid, then use half bottle of lucas transmission fix. it helped my friends car a bit.
