[Modified by GZERO, 7:34 PM 1/1/2003] the strike sucks for us because most of Americas oil comes from south america Yes and no, off course it will suck for you, but the US will start using their reserves or they will get oil from another country, and yes, the prices will go up, but come on!!, i have to be in my house all day, doing nothing, playing pc, watching TV, i haven't had a soda in a month! i do have a tank of gas in my dad's car, but i don't want to use it in case of a emergency or some major party. it has been this way for a month now! |

Re: gas prices? (Nameless)
1.53 for 92 in WA at Shell or Chevron.. I sure hope we never run out of gas in our lifetimes.. But even if this does happen, it would not necessarily be the end of the world. One intersting possibility that is being explored is the use of alcohol. This actually has several advantages over gasoline: renewability, cleanliness, superior octane rating, and superior power output. The disadvantages are shorter range (not a really big problem), higher cost (at least for now), and corrosiveness. [Modified by StorminMatt, 2:35 AM 1/7/2003] |
