99 Civic Engine noise.
First time on here just trying to get an another opinion on what noise is coming from my engine. I have a 99 Civic LX 4dr 5spd with a D16Y8 swapped into it. It runs great but I notice even when the engine is warm (not only cold) it sound like an engine tap coming from the valve train. I already adjusted the valves to Specs but the noise is still there just trying to get some other ideas. Thanks.

It's possible you have an exhaust leak. I would seafoam it and look for white smoke billowing anywhere from the exhaust manifold to the oxygen, most likely from the exhaust manifold if there is a leak.

Re: 99 Civic Engine noise.
Just watched your video. Sounds exactly like my car after I replaced the timing belt. After discovering this god-awful noise, I tore my timing belt job down piece-by-piece and found that the tensioner pulley bracket's "tooth" had slipped out of it's "cave"... if you know what I mean (the tensioner pulley has a protruding square piece that sits in a complimentary square hole on your engine). So I reset the "tooth" back into the little indent, put the belt back on, and cranked her over. After about 20 seconds of the same dreadful noise, my idle slowed from around 1500 to 900rpm and the noise gradually went away. I don't know if this has anything to do with what you're working with, but I thought I'd share my insight just in case it helps. And out of curiosity.. how long ago was the swap done? Has it always sounded like this?
