The board took some damage for sure. It can be saved by remaking the traces with small pieces of wire and some creative mounting of parts. Is it worth it? Eh. Glad you got another one coming. Better stand alone ecu's are becoming very affordable as well.

Isn't that the area that gets scorched when someone swaps the plugs for map and iat? Or was it map and iacv. They are the same plug but one is 5v and the other is 12v.

On some ecu's Q31 is near there and that would be the transistor that pops when the plugs are switched.

In this case this 11F0 board has a capacitor that blew its guts out. The acid is what ate out the board. Thats supposed to be C14 with a 220uf 35v capacitor.

I had an ecu sitting nearby...

Well that helps rule out popping the replacement as soon as it's plugged in.

Yeah change those caps out right away if no one else has. (The new one)

The capacitors rupture from age. Nothing in the car should have aided in that failure, typically.
