For example the VTEC signal yellow/blue. There is a blue wire and a yellow wire coming from the Field harenss. From that picutre it looks as if I should splice the blue wire into the yellow wire, then tap said yellow wire into the VTEC wire of the ECU? What do you guys think?

No, and that's what's causing your VTEC (and most likely your fuel) problem. If you look at the diagram again, you'll see that between the yellow and blue wires is actually supposed to be a small picture of the harness plug.

You don't want to connect the yellow to the blue. Instead, you want to cut the VTEC signal wire coming from the ECU (or harness) and connect the yellow wire to the portion of the VTEC wire coming from the ECU and the blue wire to other half of the VTEC wire going to the solenoid.

Same goes for the VSS and the MAP wires, and the VTM is similar except it has no "to" wire, just a "from" wire that gets connected to the green. I'm not good with drawing diagrams on the computer like Yoshi is https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif , but if you have a fax number, I could draw you up something and send it over if you're still confused.

Yeah thanks. I went over to Jamie (Doctor Cortez's) work today and we figured that out. I just rewired and resolderd it and everything works like a charm. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
