exhaust question...help
 

I just installed a Greddy Street Performance cat-back system on my friends 99 civic ex. it sounds great but there is a weird smell coming from the exhaust that was definately not there before and i was wondering if this is normal and if it will just go away. i figure maybe it will just "break in" or something. thanks a lot,

maybe some packing material or whatever might of gotten inside...i know my muffler had popcorn (packaging stuff) that got inside of it! gave it a funny smell but nothing to worry about

so then if there is something inside it, will it eventually burn off or fly out the back. also did the smell go away in yours? thanks again,

was probably the seal, sometimes they come with seals that sorta melt a little to give the exhaust a full seal.

My apexi WS smelled like marshmallows for the first few hours, but then it went away. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsad.gif I liked that smell.
