Engine Light came on for the first time. WTF
 

Ok i have had this problem for a while, my car tends to sputter, i don't think it's getting enough fuel, i changed the fuel filter but that didn't help much. My car usually sputters like this when i approach an oil change. Basically it starts chocking and slowing down even i floor it. To fix it i have to keep it floored and then it clears up and goes, then after a while at low rpm's it does it again. So anyway long story short i worked on my car, then hosed down the engine bay lightly before i left, and i think i got water on my short ram intake. Anyway when i turned on the car i heard a whistling sound (i think water was going in the intake) and then i just drove out, the car started sputtering and then at one point to clear it up i floored it again, so as i did it cleared up and the engine light came on. I turned off the car came out and there was a slight burning smell, then i turned the car back on and the engine light came back on after 20 seconds approx. What could this be????

Have you checked your ECU to see what code it's flashing... That well help give you some idea of what is happening.

I get the impression your running too rich, and it's loading/fouling up/out on you. Thats why you have to floor it, to blow it out.

I agree, your short ram will dry out. Are you seeing any smoke comming out if it?
