engine damper... good or not ??
http://www.jdmcarboy.com/engine-dampers1.jpg
do you know if its good. Im getting sick of my insert... its too hard and too much vibration for a street car but with 300whp my engine just move too much with OEM mounts. Could it be a good solution... and do you know if these are good. I do not trust the website lol http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif |
Re: engine damper... good or not ?? (yellowturbo)
the engine dampers do work, but it only dampens one side of the engine. Just prevents the motor from upper engine movement...

mmmh the wrote that its for the rear of the engine... if it is mount in the middle I assume that its for the front to rear movement.... ?

they wrote : ''Engine Damper mounts in between your vehicle's engine block and firewall to effectively control horsepower and torque. Keep your motor supported as you slam through those gears while adding a nice show piece under the hood.''

do they have a pic of the damper on the vehicle? because I had a engine diaper..er damper and it only supported the area near the camsprocket side of the head (B18C in EG)..
I'm not denying that it doesn't support the engine, it only supports one side of the engine....while looking kind of cool at the same time. If they now make/have a damper for the tranny side ..then cool..get both! |
