Re: Engine Assembly Lube (turbotypeR)
I've started using a mix of the green Fed-Mogul stuff, the red clevite stuff, and ARP moly. Nice and thick stuff. Mix in a bowl and apply with fingers. No brush, b/c the bristles might come off or break off into the engine. And, don't clog up the oil feed holes with assy lube.
A former Lingenfelter engine builder gave us that recipe. |
still no one that has heard anything about the prolong assy lube.... still really skeptical.

Re: (mattb16a1civic)
use redline or just reg.motor oil.it is for initial start up only, and sense your motor uses oil there is no harm done. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emcocktl.gif

I use Redline assembly lube.
I used to use that CRC stuff in a tube. But I stopped in favor of the Redline junk. |

Re: Engine Assembly Lube (AzSi22)
Redline assembly lube too
|
Re: Engine Assembly Lube (Bailhatch)
Does anyone use some graphite compound for the rod bolts? I have seen this but no sure what is preferred.
I will be starting my first bottom-end build and need to get all the lube for a complete job. Recommendations, including there intended application? http://is.rely.net/1-92-29998-l-1gbM...AmVuBW3hGg.gif |
