IS THIS EASY? Y7 Block - A6 Head - Crx Trans - Does It WORK??
 

I found a guy selling a y7 block locally, its rebuilt to 9:1 compression (I think thats stock right)
Well i have an D16a6 head here and a crx si tranny (88 I think)

Can I buy this y7 block and swap it into my crx no problem? I was running a stock d16a6 before, will a lot of things have to be changed?

Also what will the compression be with a y7 block and a6 head

Sorry for the stupid question, but I want this cheap block and am hoping it works with little to no modification

Yes It will work but dont forget to add the oil jet in the block. The compression will be lower than the a6.

After some checking, the compression will be 8.5 with the a6 head gasket and 8.7 with the y7 gasket. Stock a6 is 9.1. Hope this helps
