DAMN ABS LIGHT.
I have been tryin to diagnosis a problem with my abs light it has been on for the past few weeks and stays on consistently. My pads were low, so I thought changing them would do something, NO. I checked my brake fluid levels, they were perfect, my rotors are fine, and there is a firm stiff pedal, but the damn light WILL NOT GO OUT. Usually when there is a fluid problem both the parking brake light and abs light will stay on, right? If anyone has any suggestions on why my ABS light is on and how to get it off, it would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and ABS is Working, I checked that as well. |

Sounds like you did anything but read the ABS error code. You read it just like your ECU codes... But the ABS light will be the one flashing.

Re: DAMN ABS LIGHT. (blackout95teg)
Install a jumper wire in the service check connector and record the flash code from the abs light. The connector is under the gove box and is a two pin connector. Once you get a diagnostic trouble code, you will know what part of the abs system to inspect. email me if you have any question-jfastman@yahoo.com

It's really hard to diagnose your problem until you get your code. |

If the ABS light is on, the ABS is disengaged. (maybe your rotors are so warped it feels like ABS https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif ) And it will have nothing to do with the condition of your brakes. Pull the ABS code and find out why it is on. Prob a wheel speed sensor, any 4-X code. |
