Default How to calculate power-weight ratio...

I did a search but is is just the hp divided by weight?

yes be sure when using it in comparison to keep the units; i.e. hp/lb or ps/kg

well if you want a 1:10 kind of ratio, it's weight/hp=x then you have 1:x power to weight

simple math...
DIVIDE...


2400LBS/180WHP= 30...so 1:30 ratio meaning 1 HP for every 30 LBS

Didn't knew that, how do you convert HP to PS?? anyone knows?? i know 280HP are equal about 296 ps, i think......

you dont have to match standard and metric...you can have a HP: KG ratio...tells you the same thing..and try a search on Yahoo for conv. rates

u don't have to keep it standard necessarily, if you want hp per kg..so be it

thats like saying keep the comparison to Meters per KM when u want to find out how many inches per KM
