Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension

Re: Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension
Heres a tough one, thread size related.... dont know if anyone has ever had this issue. I just put a different tranny into my 98 ek D16y7 5 speed.....what I removed was the 5spd p20 A000 (from what i read in the forums its a 92-95 dx, anyone confirm?)....and it has the standard M14x1.5 for the drain plug, not the overfill, but the drain, with the 3/8" square ratchet hole......the dealer claims its what ALL hondas have from mid 80s to 00, and aside from the M20 overfill plug there is no other sizing......well What i put in was a P20 B000 (from what i read its the shorter gearing EX model from 92-95...confirm?)...i get all the way to the end and realize it didnt come with a drain plug, so i pull the one out of the old a000...no luck its way too small.....I havent confirmed just yet, but holding various wrenches up to the hole, it looks like a 16mm would fit in the same way that a 14mm fits the old plug, and the thread seems to match the 1.5 of the old plug too.....Im sure ill find something that works soon, but any help would still be awesome.
My question is...where did my tranny come from?....do they use M16x1.5 drain plugs in european market, or JDM?

Re: Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension
Update for above post.....found a m16x1.5 oil pan bolt...tried to thread it in and it stopped after about 2 turns, looked crooked too.....threads arent mangled, so im thinking that its a different thread pitch....after some research, it seems like its most likely a 5/8" x 18 tpi, but of course no one carries that......so after MORE research i find that its the same as the 90-95 corvette...since i already plugged it for the time being with a universal rubber expansion plug, ill wait to go to the chevy dealership to get my high performance sports car mod.....but when i do, it should net me like 2hp right?..just like each sticker in my window?.........

Re: Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension
I found out the hard way that the rod connecting bolts for a b16a2 are 10mm x .80
I know, wierd. Honda wants like $38 for the bolt and the nut and they never have it in stock.

This link will help with figuring out some bolt sizes if you have a Honda/Acura part number.

Might want to add it to the first post.

Can anyone tell me which nuts I will need to replace the existing ones that are for the top part of the struts on a 96 civic that are under the hood.

Re: Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension (W O T)
Those bolts on my '98 Accord are M14-1.5, abt 50mm long.
It's M12-1.25 for the '95 Accord. M14-1.5 for my '98 Accord.
I bought two M12-1.25 bolts this past Monday based on your post. Got ready to put them in and they were too small. Went to Pull-A-Part yesterday and got two from a '98 Accord. I pulled one from a '95 Accord for comparison and they were two different sizes (Radius Rod to LCA). FYI

Re: Common Honda Bolt thread pitch size dimension
Guys. I just wanna say I have purchased 4 m12x1.25 bolts for my b18 block to mount on my engine stand.. despite what I have read for weeks.. those bolts do not thread in more then a turn and a half, why is everyone saying everywhere the Trans bolts are that size.. clearly they aren't. .
