code 91: fuel tank pressure sensor
i have a 97 gsr w/ skunk2 im & 98 itr ecu. the ecu is throwing a code 91, which is the fuel tank pressure sensor. gsr's dont have this sensor. my Q. is with the ecu sensing a malfunction that isnt there, would everything els functioin pronperly? ie: 2-way valve, purge control solenoid valve or anything else connected w/ the evap vacuum. just wanna make sure cause sometimes when the ecu senses one thing wrong, itll compensate by doing something else, right? my spark plugs also look like im runnin a bit lean, could this b connected?
i dont mind the pretty little amber light, as long as i know everythings workin right. TIA |

What do you mean GSRs dont have that sensor?
All hondas past 96 should have this. Make sure your gas cap is tight |
Re: code 91: fuel tank pressure sensor (sgT)
Something with the usdm itr ecu's, they always do that on non-ITRs. If you want a quick fix, use the jdm itr ecu, your code will be gone. My friends car seemed to run fine with the usdm itr ecu, but he decided to switch to the j-spec one instead, code gone.

Re: code 91: fuel tank pressure sensor (GreenDestiny)
could be due to a slight difference in the wiring harness

well yeah, because the jdm ecu doesnt look for that sensor http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmilep.gif

so everything else should ok, yeah? and running lean wouldnt be related to the code?
