Clutch problems

This friend of mine recently purchased an EG with a 92 gsr engine and an unknown hydro tranny in it. He started to complain about the clutch not popping back up whenever he pressed down on it so I thought he was out of break fluid and he was. I refilled it for him and started to bleed his clutch when I noticed everytime he stepped on the clutch pedal, fluid would come squirting out of the slave cylinder. So we went to Acura and got a brand new one and replaced it. Afterwards we pumped/bled the clutch a few times untill it felt normal again and would pop back up after stepping on it. Well, 2 days after this the pedal goes dead again. You step on it and it falls to the ground and doesn't come back up. I now have no clue what could be wrong. Any advice or tips?

Thanks in advance,

Joey

reinspect your work, and check the master cylinder.

The strange thing is that I see a kinda glossyness around the firewall by where the master cylinder is and thats what I'm assuming the problem is. How can I be sure it is the master cylinder and not one of the hoses?

The hoses wil leak obviously. Typically most people replace both the master and slave cyliners together due to the fact that they wear out at about the same rate. Bite the bullet and put a new clutch master cylinder!
