CHECK ENGINE - RESET? 94 SI HATCH?
 

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESET CHECK ENGINE LIGHT? MY MECHANIC SWAPPED ENGINES A FEW WEEKS AGO, AND FORGOT TO RESET IT. ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED... THX

Disconnect your battery and reconnect it

Your mechanic would have had the entire old engine out including the battery, the old codes would have been cleared, sounds like your new engine has some issues. Have you checked the codes yet? You should check them before clearing.

Sounds like some BS to me. Jump the service connector with a paper clip and get the codes it's throwing.

you canot reset a check engine light! you can make it go away for a couple days,hours,minutes weeks but it will come back on.

they were made to tell us drivers HEY DUMB ASS im SICK!!!!! lol

jump the connector under your glove box and check what codes its throwing. fix the problem and then itll turn off.

nah bro. You can clear the cel. If there is a problem it will come back on.

That's what he said! You are not fixing the problem causing the CEL to come on in the first place.
