CEL code 01 what could it be?
 

Ok I got into an accident about a month ago and I just recieved my car today. My CEL suddenly pops up and I get a code 01: Primary O2 sensor Open or short in O2 sensor circuit, defective Primary O2 sensor. I know that after the accident my speedometer didn't work but that is fixed now. What could it be? Also just to make sure I am reading the code right, I jump the service connector and the CEL flashes one quick flash correct?

yeah 1 quick flash is code 1. check to see if the O2 sensor is bent. this will give you that light.

Yep Primary O2, get it checked out. Could have just been disconnected, or just doesnt work any more. With the code your gas millage will go stright to crap. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsad.gif
